Artwork Guidelines

Guidelines for best results.

DTG Printing

  • Submit files in PNG or JPEG format with at least 150 DPI (300 DPI preferred for best printing quality)
We recommend using PNG for designs with a transparent background. For other designs, we advise preparing files in JPEG instead.
  • Create files in sRGB colour profile
To ensure your design looks the same when printed as it does on screen, make sure you create your print file in sRGB colour profile.
  • Remove print file template guidelines
If you use our downloadable templates, delete the guide layers before saving your files. If you don’t delete them, they’ll show up on the print.

For Best Results

  • Avoid semi-transparent designs
Semi-transparent graphics (or elements with lowered opacity) don’t translate well in DTG printing. We advise using solid colours if possible.
  • Create designs with the necessary DPI
Simply typing in a new resolution value into the file won’t result in a higher resolution print. If your graphic’s resolution is too low, the best solution is to recreate it. Our system will automatically determine if your files aren’t up to resolution.  Check out Fiverr.com if you require artwork services.
  • Use transparency to your advantage
Black ink will appear gray on black garments because of the white under base used during printing. Leave these areas fully transparent when designing for black garments.

Disclaimer

  • We do NOT guarantee 100% colour accuracy.  If colour is important, contact us first for a sample print.
  • What colours you see on your screen versus what is physically printed may vary.
  • We don’t print white ink on white garments. Any designs containing white colour will have areas with no print on them.
  • White ink elements on bright-coloured garments might look tinted. This is most evident on Red, Maroon, and other similarly coloured garments.
  • There might be slight discrepancies in print placement.

Heat Transfer Vinyl / Sticker Printing

  • Submit files in PNG or JPEG format with at least 150 DPI (300 DPI preferred for best printing quality)
We recommend using PNG for designs with a transparent background. For other designs, we advise preparing files in JPEG instead.
  • Create files in CMYK colour profile
For best colour results, we use the CMYK colours for printing HTV and stickers.   You can submit in RGB, but, please note colour shifts may occur.
  • Remove print file template guidelines
If you use our downloadable templates, delete the guide layers before saving your files. If you don’t delete them, they’ll show up on the print.

For Best Results

  • We support SVG, AI, EPS, PDF and CDR file formats.  Vector graphics are the best format to supply us with.  This ensures 100% quality is maintained.  Our machines print and cut using the data contained within vector art files.  Data that is not available in standard png or jpeg files.
  • Lines and other parts of the design must have a diameter of at least 5mm.
